Description of the event:

The mystical legend about dead brides, retold by the 19th-century German poet Heinrich Heine, has become a masterpiece of world ballet art, thanks to the soulful music written by A. Adam and the choreographic genius of M. Petipa, who created the reference version of the ballet Giselle.

The drama and emotionality, lyricism and musicality of the performance, covered with a halo of mystery, make the viewer empathize with the characters from the first notes to the last chord.

“Clothed in wedding gowns crowned with flowers… irresistibly beautiful, the Wilis dance in the light of the moon, dancing more passionately and faster, the more they feel that the hour given to them for dancing is running out, and they must again descend into their cold as ice, graves…” (G. Heine).

Hans, a local forester, also in love with Giselle, arranges the exposure of the count in the presence of Giselle and Bathilde.

Giselle, unable to bear the deceit, loses her mind and dies.

Wilis - ghosts of brides who died before the wedding, seek to overtake lost travelers in the cemetery. They come across Hans, who came to the grave of Giselle, exhausted by remorse. The Wilis circle him in a ghostly round dance, and he falls to the ground without breathing. The same fate awaits the inconsolable Albert, but the shadow of Giselle that has appeared, retaining selfless love, protects and saves Albert from the wrath of the vilis..
